The Resiliency for your Reality Newsletter

We’re crisis management, business continuity, and emergency management consultants. We help organizations world-wide build programs, train teams, and make sure all their people go home to their loved ones every day.

All of those disciplines together form Organizational Resilience.

Let’s start with whether it’s “resilience” or “resiliency” because people have Opinions (capital O) about that. They’re both nouns and are synonyms. To have resilience is to have the capacity to recover from misfortune, shock, illness, etc.

For a moment, let’s go back to grammar lessons: if you add a “y” to a noun you make it an adjective, which means you make it have the quality of the noun. Hence, Resiliency means having the quality of resilience.

We started this newsletter to help people and organizations achieve resilience - and that means they develop resiliency.

(If you want to dig deep into the etymology and read some of the Opinions, start here.)

Why a Newsletter?

We’ve started this newsletter for two reasons:

  1. As a team, we consult for Fortune 100 clients and that means our services aren’t usually designed for small and mid-size companies. But it’s really those companies who can achieve the best benefit from organizational resilience because they don’t have as much bounce to recover from a crisis. We want to use this newsletter to meet people at their REALITY and help everyone achieve organizational resilience.

  2. Even in Fortune 100 companies, the functions and aspects of the resilience practice areas (crisis management, business continuity, emergency management, disaster recovery, physical security, etc.) can be a bit mysterious to leaders. We hope our newsletter can help executives with understanding what they should be asking their business resilience functions.

Why Charge?

Because we feel our content is going to be worth it. Combined, our team has close to 100 years of experience in the practice areas and there’s very little we haven’t seen, built, fixed, or managed. We set our subscription rate low enough for any reality.

If you’d like to know more about the kind of work we’ve done, you can check out Michelle’s cv.

What’s the subscription?

Our pricing is straightforward. $25 per month or $250 per year. (prices in US dollars).
